Answer: Why don't you and your son talk to his counselor about the issues involved in this decision? More than likely, the school will let him participate in the graduation ceremony and other festivities.
If your son is a mature student who wants to earn money to help with college costs, this could be a good decision for him. He could even take one or more college courses to get a head start. On the other hand, if he doesn't spend this time productively, he could easily get out of the school/study routine needed to succeed in college.
