Q:

During the summer, how can I work with my fourth grader on his language skills? - Help

A:

Storytelling is a great way to improve your child's oral language skills as well as teache him to present ideas in a sequential order. Try the storytelling activity below.

  • In the car or at a picnic, have your children take turns telling a story alternating between using "Luckily ..." and "Unluckily ..." to start each sentence. Or every sentence can start with one or other of these words.
